Reverse engineering works backwards from a physical part to the technical information needed to make it: its dimensions, its function and a drawing or 3D model. It is used when drawings are unavailable, when a part must be reproduced, or when an existing product is to be improved.
General process information. What applies to your part is confirmed by Jawdah's engineering team for each request.
The office designs, develops and engineers new models according to customer requirements and project specifications, for moulds, spare parts and customised industrial products.
3D modelling and product design
3D models improve product accuracy before manufacturing and support communication between the factory, engineers and clients. The design process can include concept development, product study, dimensional review, technical drawings and model preparation.
Reverse engineering
When a client has an existing product or spare part but no complete technical drawings, Jawdah studies the sample and recreates the technical information needed for manufacturing. The process can include scanning, measuring, modelling and preparing technical data for production.
General process information. What applies to your part is confirmed by Jawdah's engineering team for each request.
- Technical drawings are unavailable
- An existing part must be reproduced
- An existing product needs improvement
- A sample is the only starting point
- Study the sample
- Review dimensions and function
- Prepare technical drawings and a 3D model
- Consider and select the material
- Prepare for manufacturing
- An idea or concept
- A technical drawing
- A product sample
- An existing part to reproduce or improve
- A production requirement
Jawdah can start from whatever the customer already has.
The physical sample (or several, if worn), what the part does and what it fits with, any partial drawings, and the quantity needed. A reproduction is confirmed after technical review; no part is promised identical before the sample has been studied.
- Automotive components
- Medical equipment
- Infrastructure products
- Construction-related products
- Material handling equipment
Does Jawdah support reverse engineering?
Yes. Jawdah supports reverse engineering by studying product samples, capturing dimensions and preparing data for manufacturing or modification.
I have a machine part but no drawing. What can I do?
Send Jawdah the part. The team studies it, prepares the technical drawing or 3D model and plans the manufacturing approach.
Can a physical sample be converted into manufacturing data?
Yes. Scanning, measuring and modelling turn a sample into drawings and technical data for production.
What information should I provide for reverse engineering?
The sample, its function and mating parts, any partial drawings and the quantity needed.
Will the reproduced part be identical?
The aim is to match the original as closely as possible; what can be achieved is confirmed after the sample's technical review.

Discuss your requirement
