What is a plastic injection mold?
Injection molding forms plastic components by injecting molten polymer into a closed mold cavity, where it cools into the required shape. It is widely used where the same shaped plastic part has to be produced repeatedly.
General process information. What applies to your part is confirmed by Jawdah's engineering team for each request.
Jawdah capability
Plastic injection molds are part of Jawdah's mold range. Each mold is developed from its design, through the mold itself, to the plastic parts it produces.

Plastic injection molds
Plastic injection molds are suitable for producing accurate plastic components for industrial and commercial applications.
Plastic blow molds
Plastic blow molds are used to manufacture hollow plastic products and related production parts. Blow molding, in general, inflates a heated plastic preform inside a mold so that it takes the shape of a hollow part such as a bottle, a container or a duct.
Unlike injection molding, which fills a solid cavity, blow molding forms a hollow shell, so it suits lightweight hollow forms rather than solid technical parts.

How Jawdah supports a mold project
- Study the requirement, drawing or product sample
- Mold design
- Mold manufacturing in the factory
- Sample parts produced with the mold
- Maintenance and modification when needed
Where a project can start
- An idea or concept
- A technical drawing
- A product sample
- An existing part to reproduce or improve
- A production requirement
Jawdah can start from whatever the customer already has.
What to send with a mold request
A drawing or 3D file of the part, or a physical sample; the plastic material if it is already chosen; the expected production quantity; and any surfaces, fits or features that matter. Material and tooling decisions are then reviewed with Jawdah's engineers.

Frequently asked questions
What is a plastic injection mold?
It is a steel tool with a cavity in the shape of the part. Molten plastic is injected into the cavity and cools into the finished component, so the same part can be produced repeatedly.
How is blow molding different from injection molding?
Injection molding fills a cavity to make solid parts; blow molding inflates heated plastic inside a mold to make hollow parts such as bottles and containers.
Can Jawdah work from an existing sample?
Yes. A product sample can be the starting point; where no drawing exists, the team studies the sample through reverse engineering.
What information is useful when requesting a mold?
A drawing, 3D file or sample of the part, the intended plastic material, the expected quantity and any critical features or surfaces.
Can an existing injection mold be maintained or modified?
Yes. Jawdah provides both mold maintenance and mold modification for existing tooling.
How do I request a quotation for injection or blow molds?
Send your drawing, sample photos or production requirement through Jawdah's contact page. The molds and spare parts team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia reviews the request and replies with the next step.
