What is vacuum thermoforming?
Vacuum thermoforming heats a thermoplastic sheet until it is pliable and draws it against a mold with vacuum, so the sheet takes the mold's shape as it cools.

Jawdah capability
Vacuum thermoforming molds belong to Jawdah's mold range. Work follows the same path as Jawdah's other molds: the mold design, the mold, and sample parts formed with it.

Frequently asked questions
What is a vacuum thermoforming mold?
It is the tool a heated plastic sheet is drawn against by vacuum, so the sheet takes the mold's shape.
What products are thermoformed?
Typically trays, formed packaging, protective covers, equipment panels and other formed sheet parts.
How does thermoforming differ from injection molding?
Thermoforming shapes an existing plastic sheet over a mold; injection molding fills a closed cavity with molten plastic. Thermoforming suits sheet-like parts, injection suits solid, detailed parts.
Can a design or sample be the starting point?
Yes. Jawdah can start from a drawing, a design idea or a sample part.
How do I request a quotation for thermoforming molds?
Send your drawing, sample photos or production requirement through Jawdah's contact page. The molds and spare parts team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia reviews the request and replies with the next step.
