Scope
  • Custom manufacturing
  • From a drawing or sample
  • In-house machining
Location
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

High-pressure die casting (HPDC) injects molten metal into a reusable steel die under pressure and lets it solidify in the die's shape. The die is then opened, the casting removed and the cycle repeated.

General process information. What applies to your part is confirmed by Jawdah's engineering team for each request.

High-pressure die casting tooling is part of Jawdah's mould range. Each die casting mould is developed from its design to the cast metal samples it produces.

Die steel and heat treatment

H-13 is one of the materials Jawdah's service centre lists for hardening, depending on the technical suitability of the mould or part. Heat treatment is reviewed with the team for each tool.

Typical uses of HPDC in industry, not a list of Jawdah projects.

  • Relatively high production speed
  • Complex shapes
  • Dimensional repeatability
  • Thin walls where design and alloy allow
  • Good surface finish potential
  • Features integrated into the casting

  1. Study the requirement, drawing or product sample
  2. Mould design
  3. Mould manufacturing in the factory
  4. Sample parts produced with the mould
  5. Maintenance and modification when needed

  • An idea or concept
  • A technical drawing
  • A product sample
  • An existing part to reproduce or improve
  • A production requirement

Jawdah can start from whatever the customer already has.

Die casting design is reviewed around the part's wall sections, draft, the alloy the customer intends to cast and the expected volume. Jawdah does not publish an alloy list; the casting material is agreed for each project.

Jawdah's mould and spare part products support these sectors. Suitability for a specific part is reviewed per project.

What is high-pressure die casting?

A process that injects molten metal under pressure into a reusable steel die, where it solidifies into the part's shape.

Does Jawdah make HPDC moulds?

Yes. High-pressure die casting moulds are part of Jawdah's mould range, from mould design to cast samples.

Which alloys can be cast?

The casting alloy depends on the part and is agreed with Jawdah's team for each project; Jawdah does not publish a fixed alloy list.

Can the die be heat treated?

Jawdah provides heat treatment and lists H-13 among the materials it can harden, depending on technical suitability.
